Mission

MISSION

My mission is to bring the Kingdom of God to Thailand through worship and the truth of God’s Word, and by raising and equipping a generation walking in freedom from the sex trade and founded on God’s love and truth. My mission in Thailand is carried out through creative worship, prayer, and discipleship, in the Pattaya House of Prayer, at The Crossing youth ministry, and in fellowship and community with other Thai believers, churches, ministries and NGOs throughout Thailand.

BACKGROUND ABOUT PATTAYA:

A large majority of the women, men, and transgenders (“ladyboys”) in the sex trade in Pattaya and Bangkok come from Isaan, Northeast Thailand. Isaan is often either in drought and has few natural resources to rely upon, promoting a cycle of poverty. Upon the eldest daughter of the family is usually placed the responsibility of providing for their entire family in Isaan, and many come to Pattaya and Bangkok looking for work largely unaware that the only job option they are equipped for is one in the sex industry. Once they start working in the sex industry, it is hard for them to leave as the pay is so much better than the average wage job and their families often place much pressure on them to send as much money home as possible. Some families, once accustomed to the “easy money” coming in or seeing their neighbors accumulate wealth quickly, often pressure their children to enter the sex trade, and the cycle continues with every passing generation. Today, God is at work in Thailand’s youth and families, bringing truth and freedom from this cycle by reviving creativity and value to one’s work and bringing a new understanding of personal worth when they personally experience the fathomless love of their Father God through worship and discipleship.
